While condemning the murder of tourists in the Peahalgam region of Kashmir held, some of the main journalists, intellectuals and peace activists of the subcontinent called for de-escalation of a dangerous war situation.
They also demanded a “fair and credible” investigation into the incident “to resolve responsibility”.
A joint declaration, approved by dozens of writers and intellectuals on both sides of the border, has unequivocally condemned “terrorism against innocent tourists from the Pahalgam valley, and in any place on any pretext”.
