Two Saudi warships, HMS Jazan and HMS Hail, will participate in the Pakistan naval year-25, scheduled for February 7 to 11 in the sea of northern Orabia, confirmed a senior navy on Tuesday on Tuesday Pakistani.
The Aman exercise, held at the same time since 2007, is a multinational naval exercise organized by the Pakistani navy to improve regional maritime security and interoperability between the Allied forces.
This year, the Aman-25 should include nearly 60 countries, with activities carried out in two phases: a portable phase from February 7 to 9, followed by a maritime phase from February 10 to 11, which will include research operations and rescue, live arms shots and international fleet exam.
Rear Admiral Abdul Munib, commander of the Pakistani fleet, stressed the importance of solid maritime ties with Saudi Arabia, stressing the participation of Saudi royal naval forces in the exercise.
“Saudi Arabia is a fraternal country,” said Munib, adding that Pakistan also shares close naval relations with the United Arab Emirates (water), which will both be actively involved in the Aman-25.
In addition to the two Saudi ships, the Kingdom (SOF) and submarine (UWD) special operations (UWD) demolition teams will also participate in the exercise. The water send a ship and its own SOF and UWD teams.
More than 200 international observers are expected to attend, strengthening the global service for the exercise.
Munib also underlined the role of the Aman dialogue, a forum performing the exercise, where the chiefs of the navy, the coastal guards and the defense managers of the participating countries will exchange information and discuss maritime security strategies.
“More than a simple military exercise, Aman embodies Pakistan’s unshakable commitment to regional stability, safe seas and the fight against non -traditional threats,” said Munib.
He added that the exercise aims to strengthen interoperability and promote the sharing of information among regional and extra-regional navies, strengthening shared responsibility for maritime security.
This year’s Aman-25 should be a major platform to improve cooperation between the world marines, emphasizing the success of emerging sea challenges.
