Pakistan among 14 countries faced with a visa ban in Saudi Arabia

Islamabad: Saudi Arabia imposed a temporary visa ban in 14 countries, including Pakistan, before the Hajj 2025 season, The news reported on Sunday.

The sources indicate that the prohibition of visas will apply to OMRA, to trade and family visas, the restrictions likely to end in mid-June.

Diplomatic sources claiming that OMRA visa holders can enter Saudi Arabia until April 13, other countries subject to the prohibition of visas, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia and Yemen.

With the possibility of a five -year restriction on the stay in Saudi Arabia despite the ban, the sources added that the Saudi government officially informed Pakistan of this decision.

They also mentioned that Omra Pakistani visa holders were invited to return to their country by April 29.

Meanwhile, separately, the Ministry of Religious Affairs approved the Hajj flight calendar. As part of the Hajj government program, 89,000 pilgrims will go to Saudi Arabia to carry out the Hajj via five airlines.

The calendar will be available on the Pak Hajj mobile application from today. All pilgrims can know their flight from demand.

The first flight of Hajj will leave on April 29, while the last flight will leave on May 31. Five flights will go from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Multan on April 29.

Pilgrims were invited to be vaccinated in their respective haji camps ten days before their flight, which is compulsory. The second phase of pilgrims training will start on April 8.

Meanwhile, PIA announced its pre-hajj operations, which will continue from April 29 to June 1.

During this period, the national airline will transport more than 56,000 Pakistani pilgrims to Saudi Arabia through 280 special flights, belonging to government and private regimes. Boeing 777 and Airbus 320 planes will be used to make the trip more comfortable and organized. PIA Post-Hajj operation will start on June 12 and will continue until July 10.

It should be noted that up to 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will make the Hajj this year

The cost of the 40 -day hajj package has been reduced by RS25,000, which brought the total to Rs1,050,000.

Likewise, the 25 -day Hajj package has been reduced by RS50,000, which makes the new price to Rs1100,000.
