Pakistan, Azerbaijan signs the memorandum of understanding to stimulate judicial judicial cooperation

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral collaboration in the legal and judicial sectors. The agreement was formalized during an official visit to Bakou by the Minister of Law Azam Nazeer Tarar, according to an official statement.

The memorandum of understanding, signed between the Department of Law and the Justice of Pakistan and the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan, establishes a framework of cooperation in fields such as legal reform, institutional exchange and the rule of law.

During the visit, Tarar met Prime Minister Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov. The two parties highlighted the growing role of legal diplomacy in the progression of mutual interests and the improvement of bilateral relations. He also had detailed discussions with the Azerbaijan Minister of Justice, His Excellency Farid Ahmadov, focusing on legal modernization and the exchange of institutional expertise.

During a separate meeting with the chief judge of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan in Inam Karimov, the two parties discussed the judicial reform, the digitization of judicial systems and the improvement of dispute settlement mechanisms.

The signed MOU describes cooperation in promoting the alternative resolution of disputes, the digital transformation of legal services and the sharing of legal knowledge and best practices. Pakistan and Azerbaijan have reaffirmed their commitment to deepen institutional links and work together to support continuous reforms in the justice sector.
