The United Nations:
Pakistan called on the Sudan war parties to re -engage in negotiations to end a conflict that lasted more than 21 months, stressing that the suffering of the Sudanese people must end.
“We urge the two parties to implement the commitments made under the DJEDDAH declaration on the protection of civilians and the facilitation of humanitarian efforts to meet the urgent needs of the Sudanese population,” said ambassador Munir Akram , the permanent representative of Pakistan at the United Nations, at the Embassy his speech to the United Nations Security Council.
