Pakistan, China agrees to strengthen information sharing

Pakistan and China have agreed to improve information sharing and security cooperation, following a high -level meeting between the Minister of the Interior of Pakistan, Mohin Naqvi and his Chinese counterpart, Qiu Yanjun, in Beijing.

During the meeting, discussions focused on securing borders for paramilitary forces and improving cooperation in this regard. The two parties also deliberated on the use of advanced technology for the police and the paramilitary forces.

The two officials have held detailed discussions on the acquisition of modern China equipment and technologies to strengthen the organizations of the Pakistan law enforcement.

Mohin Naqvi stressed that Pakistan would provide technology and advanced equipment to improve police capacity.

In addition, the two countries have agreed to strengthen collaboration between the National Police Academy and to improve cooperation between the Beijing and Islamabad police forces.

The leaders expressed their satisfaction with regard to the progress made at the January meeting of the joint working group.

The high -level discussion between the two ministers lasted two hours.

On this occasion, Mohin Naqvi extended an official invitation to his Chinese counterpart in Visitpakistan.
