Pakistan and China reiterated their commitment to regional peace and stability on Sunday while jointly opposing unilateralism and hegemonic policies.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar had a telephone conversation with Wang Yi, member of the CPC central committee’s political office and Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister, to discuss the current regional situation.
The two leaders agreed to maintain close communication and coordination at all levels to advance their common peace, security and sustainable development objectives, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said.
DAR categorically rejected the “unilateral and illegal actions” of India and rejected what he described as a “baseless propaganda” against Pakistan.
Expressing the assessment of the “coherent and unshakable support” of China, Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the “iron” friendship of the two countries and their common vision of a strategic cooperative partnership all seasons.
He also underlined the determination of Pakistan to further deepen bilateral cooperation in all sectors.
The conversation occurs in the middle of increased regional tensions after recent developments in the Jammu and the cashmere occupied by illegally (iiojk).
Earlier this week, Pakistan warned that it would provide a “firm, rapid and decisive” response to any Indian aggression, after New Delhi unilaterally suspended the industrial water treaty following a deadly attack in the disputed cashmere.
The assault of April 22 in Pahalgam, Iiojk left 26 dead, mainly tourists.
India responded in suspended the Indus Water Treaty in 1960, closing its borders, downgrading diplomatic ties and accusing Pakistan – without proof – support for cross -border terrorism.
Pakistan has strongly denied any involvement and threatened the countermeasures, in particular to place its suspended Simla agreement and closing its airspace with Indian flights.
In a resolution of the Senate, the legislators declared that Pakistan “remains fully capable and ready to defend its sovereignty and its territorial integrity against any aggression”, quoting the military responses passed as preceding.
The Senate also warned that any Indian misadventure would have encountered a decisive response, while reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace and regional support for cashmiris to self -determination.
