ISLAMABAD:

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister said on Monday that Pakistan remained firmly committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism.

Dar made the remarks while greeting the nation in a message on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

Pakistan’s actions in Afghanistan against the threat of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij/TTP are aimed at this objective, he said.

“Our brave sons of the earth sacrifice their lives for its pursuit. We pay homage to our martyrs and heroes, who made supreme sacrifice for the betterment of our collective future,” he added.

Pakistan and Afghanistan engaged in a face-off after Islamabad launched airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan. Afghanistan then launched coordinated strikes against Pakistani posts, triggering an active confrontation between the two neighboring countries.

On that day, the DPM/FM said he could not forget his Kashmiri brothers and sisters and the exceptional sacrifices they made in their quest for the inalienable right to self-determination.

He said Pakistan remained firm in its commitment to provide moral and diplomatic support until the oppressed individuals of IIOJK achieved their right to self-determination.

He also extended warm greetings to his fellow Pakistanis living abroad and praised their patriotism, dedication and hard work.

“Every day, they proudly represent Pakistan on the international stage and play a vital role in the country’s future success,” he added.
