The Pakistan youth netball team continued its dominant race at the Asian Netball Championship for young people in 2025, crushing South Korea 91-6 on Sunday to ensure their third consecutive victory and at the top of the swimming pool B.
The green shirts dominated from the start, leading 23-2 to the first quarter and extending the margin at 45-3 at halftime. In the third quarter, the score read 70-4 before Pakistan finished the match at 91-6.
Exceptional performances came from Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Haleema, Sarina Hussain, Jasmine Farooq, Farah Rasheed, Amani, Parisa, Sumayya Ahmed and Alina, who all contributed to the categorical victory.
Pakistan had previously beaten Saudi Arabia 71-15 Friday and Chinese Taipei 56-32 on Saturday. The team is now facing Japan on Monday and the Maldives on Tuesday.
The Pakistan Netball Federation thanked itself in head coach Amanda Newton, praising his “exceptional coaching, technical expertise and unshakable dedication” via a publication on social networks, noting its role in the continuous success of the team.
The championship, which is held at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium from June 27 to July 4, includes 11 nations divided into two groups.
Eleven teams participate in the championship and are divided into two groups.
Group A: Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and India
Group B: Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
