Pakistan Downs 12 Indian drones on several locations: DG ISPR

The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), lieutenant-general Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed Thursday that the armed forces of Pakistan intercepted and neutralized 12 Indian drones on several locations.

At a press conference, the army spokesman said that on May 7 and 8, Indian drones had tried intrusions in various parts of the country.

The drones were successfully neutralized in Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Karachi, Chhor and Attock, according to the ISPR.

The military spokesperson qualified attempts at continuous aggression and confirmed that the forces of Pakistan remain on alert to defend the airspace and the territorial integrity of the country.

Four members of the Pakistani army staff were injured in a drone attack in Lahore, while a civilian has lost their lives to Miano, Sindh, he said.
