Ambassador Sheikh meets Deputy Secretary Kapur as both sides reaffirm commitment to lasting engagement
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, met with Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapur at the State Department on Saturday. The meeting was announced by the two managers on X (formerly Twitter).
The dignitaries “discussed ways to advance U.S.-Pakistan relations,” Kapur’s tweet said.
Similarly, Sheikh detailed in his own tweet that the two discussed “ways and means of translating the resolve expressed at the leadership level” regarding the development of ties between the United States and Pakistan, into what is an economically anchored strategic partnership.
Nice to meet Deputy Secretary Paul Kapur.
I congratulated him on taking over as A/S @State_SCA.
