Islamabad has further strengthened its links with Kazakhstan and Turkey in recent weeks, according to the weekly Foreign Office briefing on Friday.
A delegation of 13 members of Kazakhstan called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari in addition to making complete discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar. The two parties examined an entire spectrum of bilateral relations, especially in the information and technology sector. The two countries have also signed an action plan, which provides a structured roadmap for collaboration in various fields.
The agreement was signed after the dialogue between Dar and its counterpart Kazakh Murat Nurtleu. The two leaders have led their respective teams to accelerate negotiations on agreements and understanding memoranda (MOUS), which should be finalized in time for the next visit of the president of Kazakhstan.
In addition, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and National Defense Minister Yasir Güler arrived in Islamabad for an official visit to Pakistan. Dixing called Shehbaz and held meetings with the Minister of Defense Khwaja Asif and the chief of the army of the army (COAS) Asim Munir.
The two parties shared their commitment to each other and had talks in all areas of mutual interest, according to FO.
The weekly press briefing started with FO spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, addressing the recent strike from Israel in Qatar Doha. The spokesperson reiterated the allegiance of the Pakistans to the protection of the memory of Qatar. He also underlined the recent visit of Shehbaz to Qatar in solidarity against the Israeli aggression as well as the permanent representative of Pakistan at the United Nations Ambassador Asim Iftikar Ahmadar to the United Nations Security Council, in which Ahmad called the systemic discourse of Israel for international law.
Khan also discussed the current situation in Nepal expressing a deep sadness for the loss of lives during the demonstrations. “We hope that the resilience of the Nepalese people will help shape a future marked by the harmony and renewed hope,” he said, offering condolences to the bereaved families and the wounded.
The FO has also reiterated the dedication of Islamabad to the cashmere people and their right to self-determination, condemning the continuous aggression of India to cashmere. The spokesperson regretted the refusal of the bond of the chief of cashmere Shabir Ahmed Shah.
In addition, he condemned the decision taken in India illegally occupied the Jammu and the cashmere (iioj & k) to the takeover of 215 private schools.
