Pakistan has been classified among the 15 main world military powers in the 2025 global fireplace index (GFP), guaranteeing 12th position on 145 countries considered for the annual examination. India, neighboring Pakistan with nuclear arms, ranked higher in 4th place.
“The GFP index designates Pakistan as the top 15 of world military power,” said GFP on its website. “For 2025, Pakistan is classified 12th, reflecting its strategic military capacities.
In terms of specific military forces, Pakistan ranked 7th in the world for the force of the air fleet, while India was placed 4th. For naval power, Pakistan was ranked 27th, with India in advance in 6th position.

The GFP index stressed that if the two nations continue to develop their military capacities, India maintains a stronger position in certain regions, such as naval force and the air fleet.
The GFP index, which assesses the military force based on more than 60 individual factors, including military units, financial situation, logistical capacities and geography, has placed Pakistan with a Powerindx (Pwrindx) score of 0.2513. A perfect score is 0.0000
