Islamabad:

Pakistan has officially filed a strong demonstration with Afghanistan on the use of its soil in the recent train diversion in Sibi, Balutchistan.

A senior Afghan diplomat was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to register the demonstration, according to sources familiar with development. However, there was no official declaration of the FO when submitting this report was submitted.

On March 11, terrorists attacked and diverted the Jaffar Express to the Bolan Pass, holding more than 400 passengers hostage for 30 hours. The train was on the road from Quetta to Peshawar.

The Pakistani security forces, supported by the Air Force and the elite army commandos, managed to save more than 350 passengers. However, the authorities confirmed that the terrorists had killed 26 passengers before the start of the operation. The 33 attackers were neutralized during the operation.

After the attack, Pakistan said that he had found evidence indicating that the attackers were in constant contact with their managers in Afghanistan. The FO subsequently urged the Taliban government to help translate the perpetrators into court.

According to sources, the same message was sent to the Afghan diplomat at the meeting on Monday.

The Afghan Taliban, however, rejected the allegations of Pakistan, saying that the Baloutch terrorist groups did not work from Afghan territory and had no connection with Kabul.

However, a recent surveillance report of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) highlighted a close link between the TTP prohibited in Afghanistan and the Bla – the latter having claimed the responsibility of the train attack.

Sources also revealed that the FO had raised concerns about the involvement of Afghan nationals during the recent attack on the canton of Bannu.
