Pakistan and Hungary have signed an agreement to abolish visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders of the two countries, as well as two understanding of understanding (MOUS) focused on culture and archeology cooperation.

The agreements were signed Thursday during the visit of the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Pet Szijjártó, who is in Islamabad at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar.

The visit also commemorates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Szijjártó leads a high -level delegation, including 17 commercial representatives, to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Speaking at a joint press conference, Szijjártó expressed his satisfaction concerning the agreements signed and recognized Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against activism, declaring that his role has contributed to broader European security.

He also expressed concerns about threats of terrorism from Afghanistan, linking them to potential migration pressures on Europe.

Prime Minister DAR welcomed agreements as stages of improving bilateral links, highlighting their potential to strengthen the government and government and persons’ connections.

The visit is aligned with the wider strategy of Islamabad to attract European investments in the key sectors, in particular energy, tourism, mining and agriculture, following recent transactions with the Gulf Nations
