The Indonesian Minister of Defense, the LT Gen (retired), Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin expressed the desire of his country to strengthen defense ties and to explore a possible collaboration in the production of defense when he met the main civil and military leaders of the country
General Sjamsoeddin called Prime Minister Shehbaz at the PM office today, where he reiterated the desire for Indonesia to “further strengthen defense ties with Pakistan and explore the possible areas of cooperation, in particular in defense production”, according to a statement from the PID managed by the government.
The Indonesian Minister expressed the best wishes of President Prabowo suffered for the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan, added the press release.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz “reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to explore and extend collaboration with Indonesia in investment joint ventures in mutually beneficial projects,” the statement said.
The Prime Minister also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to improve bilateral cooperation with Indonesia in all avenues, including economic, strategic and commercial sectors, as well as defense and defense production.
He stressed that Pakistan and Indonesia enjoyed a “longtime friendship rooted in shared cultural, religious and historical ties, supporting each other during international forums”.
Both sides have stressed the importance of “improving multifaceted bilateral cooperation”, according to PID.
“Reunion highlighted historical, fraternal and friendly bilateral relations between Pakistan and Indonesia,” noted the declaration.
Recalling his meeting last year with the Indonesian president Prabowo suffered on the sidelines of the Summit in Development of Cairo, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed his best wishes for the Indonesian president.

Meeting with Coas

Marshal Munnir stressed the importance of mutual cooperation in peacekeeping and stability in the region. The Indonesian Minister, in turn, appreciated the professional achievements of the Pakistani army, in particular his role in the fight against terrorism.
