Pakistan invites us to recover the weapons left in Afghanistan to restore regional peace

The Ministry of Pakistan Foreign Affairs has highlighted the current security challenges in the region, calling on the United States to recover the weapons it left in Afghanistan during withdrawal.

According to spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, the presence of these weapons in Afghanistan has become an important problem for regional peace and stability, Express News reported.

He said that Pakistan wants good neighborhood relations with Afghanistan, but Afghan territory is used for terrorism against Pakistan, and the country has repeatedly urged the Afghan government to resolve this issue.

Shafqat Ali Khan added that the Torkham border has been closed due to the construction of Afghan construction positions in the disputed areas. Pakistan condemns disturbances on the Torkham border and calls on the Afghan temporary government to resolve this question seriously.

He also shared that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar had received a call from the United States National Security Councilor, who praised Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism and thanked President Trump for his support. The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs also congratulated the National Security Advisor to have assumed his position.

Shafqat Ali Khan said that the US National Security Advisor had reaffirmed the commitment to continue cooperation with Pakistan. He also appreciated President Trump’s announcement to recover the military equipment left in Afghanistan.

Water counterpart call:

The spokesperson informed that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, had also received a call from his water counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who congratulated the management of Pakistan and the people on the occasion of Ramadan.

The two parties appreciated the positive results of the Water Crown Prince’s visit to Pakistan, and discussions were organized to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in various sectors.

Participation in the OIC conference:

Shafqat Ali Khan also declared that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar would visit Saudi Arabia to participate in the next OCO meeting in Jeddah. During the conference, he will address the issue of Palestinian law for self -determination.

He revealed that Ishaq Dar would present Pakistan’s position on the deterioration of the situation in Palestine and the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians, as well as the discussion of the humanitarian crisis resulting from the conflict.

Shafqat Ali Khan noted that discussions include illegal proposals and contrary to ethics aimed at moving the Palestinians of their homeland. The conference will reaffirm the unwavering support of Pakistan to the Palestinian people.

Condemnation of Israeli restrictions:

Pakistan firmly condemns the restrictions of Israel in Gaza during the sacred month of Ramadan.

The spokesman said that Gaza residents should be allowed to offer prayers in mosques during Ramadan. Pakistan also condemns Israel’s decision to block the entry of essential aid to Gaza.
