Pakistan is invincible, says CDF Asim Munir

Will not allow anyone to compromise Pakistan’s sovereignty, says Tri-Services integration aligns with new realities

RAWALPINDI:

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Monday reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation; however, no one will be allowed to compromise its sovereignty, territorial integrity or test its resolve.

Addressing officers of the three armed forces, the CDF said: “Let us all be aware that Pakistan is invincible and has been protected by loyal and courageous soldiers and the unwavering resolve of a united nation.”

The CDF reiterated the extraordinary courage and conviction demonstrated by the Pakistani nation, especially the professionalism of the valiant men and women of the armed forces during Marka-e-Haq, said a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

He pointed out that Marka-e-Haq’s multi-domain operations have now become a classic example and a case study for future warfare.

The COAS paid deep tribute to the martyrs who will always remain the pride of the nation.

Emphasizing the need for a formalized arrangement for the integration and synergy of the three services, he stressed that the armed forces must remain aligned with the new realities of warfare which now extend to an exhaustive range of emerging technologies in cyberspace, electromagnetic spectrum, outer space, information operations, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

He described the new FDC headquarters as historic, which will enable the integration, coherence and coordination needed to respond to the dynamics of the future threat spectrum under the umbrella of the three services.

He encapsulated the vision of the armed forces as a culturally futuristic, combat-ready military machine that deters aggression and enjoys the full confidence of the nation.

He added that India should not be under any illusions or mistakes: next time, Pakistan’s response will be even faster and harsher. A clear message has also been sent to the Taliban regime that it has no choice but to choose between Fitna-al-Khawarij and Pakistan, he added.

The ceremony included presentation of awards to Marka-e-Haq heroes of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force to recognize their acts of bravery during the war.

Earlier, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was given the Tri-Services Guard of Honor at the General Headquarters (GHQ) to mark the institution of the appointment of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces (COAS and CDF).

The ceremony was attended by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff, Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff and senior officers of the three armies.
