Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations with the United States, expressing the desire for enhanced cooperation in all sectors.
In a meeting with US Congressmen Thomas Richard Suozzi and Jack Bergman in Washington, Naqvi discussed issues of mutual interest, including the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan-US relations. Members of Congress represent the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively.
Both sides agreed to promote bilateral relations, with Naqvi inviting US lawmakers to visit Pakistan. “Your visit will further strengthen bilateral relations,” Naqvi said.
Congressman Suozzi expressed his commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan, confirming his intention to visit the country soon.
Additionally, it was announced that a Pakistan Caucus conference would be held in Washington on April 30 to strengthen collaboration. The meeting underscores Pakistan’s intention to deepen its engagement with the United States on key issues of common interest.
