Pakistan LPG Tanker attacked by the Israeli drone off Yemen Coast; All the crews safely: Mohin Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohin Naqvi announced that a Pakistani LPG oil tanker and his crew of 27 members remained safe after the Israeli attack off the coast of Yemen.

Taking his handle X, the Minister of the Interior revealed that the ship – carrying 27 crew members, including 24 Pakistanis, two Sri Lankans and a Nepalese – was attacked by an Israeli drone while he was moored in Ras al -Esa Port, an area under the control of Houthi, on September 17, 2025. One of the fires of the ship was explored during the shot.

After the attack, Houthi boats intercepted the ship and held the crew hostage aboard the ship for several days.

The Minister of the Interior confirmed that “Alhamdulillah, the oil tanker and his crew have now been released by the Houthis and are outside the Yemeni waters”.

The Pakistani government was in close contact with regional partners, including Saudi Arabia and Oman, to ensure the safe recovery of its nationals.

The incident highlights the growing risks for commercial shipment in the Red Sea and the Gulf region of Aden in the middle of increasing tensions in the Middle East.
