Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that the creation of a strong and viable Palestinian state, based on the pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, remains and will continue to remain the foundation of Pakistan’s policy in the Middle East.
The Prime Minister left for Pakistan after concluding his two-day visit to Sharm el-Sheikh, where he attended the Gaza Peace Summit, held in Egypt. Egyptian Culture Minister Ahmed Fouad Hanno bid farewell to the Prime Minister and the Pakistani delegation.

He said Pakistan’s first priority was to immediately end the genocidal campaign imposed on Gaza. This objective has been constantly expressed and reinforced in coordination with other brotherly nations.
He also thanked President Trump, expressing hope that he will act to end the violence and fulfill his commitment to do so.
The Prime Minister further emphasized that Pakistan would continue to recognize President Trump’s unique role in the quest for peace. The freedom, dignity and prosperity of the Palestinian people are of fundamental importance to Pakistan.
