Pakistan, Malaysia in talks to forge a strategic digital financing partnership

In a pivotal stage towards strengthening regional cooperation in the digital economy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Mohamad Bin Hasan, met Bilal Bin Saqib, CEO (CEO) of Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC), to explore collaborative opportunities in blockchain technology, digital assets and finance Sharia law.

The meeting held on Monday focused on setting up the basics of a digital financing partnership in Pakistan-Malaisie-a prospective initiative aimed at co-develop financial action frames (FATF), aligned by Sharia law, which can serve as a model for the wider organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC).

“The management of Malaysia in Islamic finance and the momentum of Pakistan in cryptographic regulations form a natural alliance,” said SAQIB. “Together, we have a historic opportunity to set global standards for ethical innovation in digital finance – halal stablescoins and token sukuks with compliant regulatory sand bins and the empowerment of young people.”

Pakistan Crypto Council is carrying out efforts to design a passportable cryptographic regulatory framework adapted to emerging markets – which promotes innovation while guaranteeing full compliance with international standards.

During the meeting, the two parties expressed a strong alignment on the main areas of cooperation, in particular:

• Regulatory coordination between financial authorities

• Transfrontal initiatives for talent development and web education3

This milestone commitment indicates the start of a deeper economic and technological partnership between Pakistan and Malaysia – motivated by a shared vision to build the future of finance thanks to innovation based on value and strategic collaboration.

In particular, this meeting follows the recent announcement that the founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), joined the CCP as a strategic advisor, strengthening global confidence in the role of emerging leadership of Pakistan in the space of digital assets.
