The Pakistani army organized large -scale military exercises on Thursday, presenting its preparation for combat and modern weapons, in the midst of growing regional tensions with India.
According to security sources, the exercises involved live shot demonstrations and were designed to provide a robust response to any aggression by the opponent.
The officers and troops of various units participated in the exercises, displaying high -level operational skills and using advanced battlefield systems.
The exercises followed the action of reprisals of Pakistan on Wednesday, when the troops destroyed an Indian control post in response to shots of small weapons not caused on the other side of the control line (LOC) in the Kiani and Mandal sectors.
Security officials said reprisals of reprisals have neutralized enemy positions, including Chakputra Post in Jammu-et-Cachemire administered by illegally Indian (IIOJK).
Tensions between nuclear weapons neighbors have increased since the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, who killed 26 tourists. India blamed Pakistan for the incident without presenting any evidence.
The repercussions sparked a series of diplomatic and strategic reprisals. India has suspended the Industry Water Treaty, canceled visas for Pakistanis and closed the border crossing of Wagah-Attari.
Pakistan responded by expelling Indian diplomats, threatening to suspend the Simla agreement, suspended from visas for Indian nationals – outside Sikhs pilgrims – and closing the main passage on its side.
Islamabad denied participation in Pahalgam’s attack and proposed to cooperate in a transparent investigation.
Military sources have reiterated that the Pakistani army remains fully ready to counter any form of aggression and would respond firmly if it is caused.
