Pakistan has prohibited all Indian flag ships from entering its ports and territorial waters, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs said on Sunday, degenerating tensions between nuclear neighbors after India has imposed a similar prohibition a day earlier. This decision comes in direct response to New Delhi’s previous decision to prohibit Pakistani ships from accessing any Indian port.
The Maritime Ministry of Pakistan has cited increased regional tensions and national security problems as a justification behind its counter-measure. He added that “any exemption request would be examined individually”.
