Pakistan reaches economic stability as inflation falls at 5%: PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is growing quickly on economic, foreign and military fronts and that the country will now evolve towards economic growth and improvement.

Speaking of the overseas Pakistani people from the Pakistani high-commissariat in London, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that all the achievements made by the current government are the result of sincerity, hard work and team efforts and that everyone has played their role in achieving objectives.

The Prime Minister praised that “Pakistan has gained dignity and respect among the commies of nations. He recalled that Pakistan won war and defeated his enemy, gaining increased respect for the world”.

Referring to his speech to the United Nations General Assembly (Unga), Shehbaz said that he represented the people of Pakistan, argued their case and reflected their feelings.

He stressed that in his speech, he loudly stressed the problems of cashmere and Palestine. The Prime Minister noted that the people of Gaza faces the oppression and brutality that had never been seen before in the world. Prime Minister Shehbaz believes that the meeting of Arab-Islamic countries, chaired by US President Donald Trump, will give encouraging results on the Gaza issue.

The PM said he had held another constructive and productive meeting with President Trump in Washington in a cordial atmosphere. He expressed that the meeting would serve as a springboard towards strengthening relations with the United States.

Apprecating the Pakistani abroad, he said that they were a precious asset, great ambassadors from Pakistan and serve their country with vitality.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar said that during the session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Prime Minister effectively represented Pakistan’s position on regional and global issues.

He said eight countries, including five Arab countries, namely Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan and Egypt and three non -Arab Muslim countries, notably Pakistan, Turkiye and Indonesia, held the meeting with the American president and discussed the issue of Gaza.

He said that after the initial meeting, subsequent meetings would continue and produce a positive result on the issue of Gaza, which would be shared with the nation.

Dar said economic stability has now been reached; The interest rate is down 11% and inflation has decreased to five% compared to 30%. “The government makes an effort to advance Pakistan.”

Meanwhile, delegations of Pakistani abroad met the Prime Minister of the High Commissioner of Pakistan. The Pakistanis abroad expressed their assessment of the address of the Prime Minister during the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly and paid tribute to him for effectively presented the point of view of Pakistan.

They said that the cashmere issue had been highlighted worldwide due to the way the Prime Minister raised the case to the United Nations General Assembly.
