Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to urgently convene an Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) of foreign ministers to approach current developments in Gaza.

This decision occurred during a telephone conversation between Darrier Minister Ishaq Dar and the Saudi Foreign Affairs, Prince Faire Bin Farhan Al Saud on Monday, Radio Pakistan reported.

The discussions followed the provocative remarks of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concerning the Palestinians, who were strongly condemned by Dar.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unshakable commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, as well as his firm support for the Palestinian cause.

Prince Faisal expressed his gratitude for the coherent and proven support of Pakistan, stressing the importance of the lasting relationship of the two nations.

Earlier, in a separate conversation with the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Seyyed Abbas Arabhchi, Dar reiterated the unshakable position of Pakistan on the creation of an independent Palestinian State, based on borders before 1967, with al-qui al- Sharif as capital.

The two foreign ministers exchanged points of view on the situation in the Middle East, focusing in particular on the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has also condemned Netanyahu’s remarks suggesting the movement of the Palestinians, publishing a declaration rejecting any notion of a Palestinian State on Saudi territory.

This controversy started when Netanyahu seemed to be joking during an interview, suggesting a “Saudi state” instead of a “Palestinian state”, before correcting himself quickly.
