The Director General of Public Relations of Inter Services (ISPR), Lieutenant-General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, is aimed at international media in the midst of increasing tensions between Pakistan and India, which raises concerns concerning the rapid attribution of the blame of India following a recent incident.
Speaking on Friday at a joint press conference in Islamabad, Lieutenant-General Chaudhry was flanked by the Director General of Public Relations of Pakistan Air Force, vice-marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed and the deputy chief of naval staff (operations), Rear Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz. The senior military officials informed the media of the evolution of the control line (LOC) and the larger regional implications.
Lieutenant-General Chaudhry questioned the credibility of New Delhi’s response, stressing how the Indian government has identified alleged authors “within 10 minutes” after the incident. He said this rapid conclusion echoes a familiar model of premature accusations in past incidents.
“Such a hurry raises serious questions about the intention,” he noted, suggesting that this decision was designed to divert attention from the internal problems of India.
The head of the ISPR also condemned what he described as a cross -border aggression in the process of Indian forces of having deliberately targeted civilians, including women and children, in recent incidents.
The military management of Pakistan reiterated its commitment to peace but warned against continuous provocations, urging international observers to take note of the situation.
