Pakistan to continue supporting people in Jammu-et-Cachemire, says Prime Minister Shehbaz

On Sunday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan would continue to extend its political, diplomatic and moral support to the inhabitants of Jammu-et-Cachemire, who were struggling to acquire their right to self-determination and freedom.

In a message on the occasion of the cashmere day, observed on July 13, he said: “The day is observed each year to pay tribute to the 22 Kashmiris who sacrificed their lives on July 13, 1931, while protesting against the forces of Dogra de Jammu and Cashmire.”

“He recalls the inherent firmness, the resistance against the brutal forces and the unshakable resolution of the Muslims of the cashmere.

The struggle for freedom, human rights and cashmere rights takes place throughout the history of cashmere, “said the Prime Minister.

“The cashmere people have been and who sacrifice their lives in their legitimate struggle for the right to self -determination.

“The government of Pakistan expresses its political, diplomatic and moral support in solidarity with the Muslims of Jammu-et-Cachemire, who is illegally occupied by India.

“We salute the bravery and determination of all the martyrs of the cashmere who sacrificed their lives for decades of Indian occupation.”

“Today, the Government of Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to the resolution of the cashmere question and the right to self-determination of Jammu-et-Cachemire in accordance with the United Nations resolutions,” he concluded.
