Faisalabad: The advisor to the Prime Minister of Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah said on Sunday that Pakistan would overcome the current economic crisis within two years if another “October 12” – a reference to the 1999 military coup – had not been imposed.

The leader of the PML-N Director made these remarks while speaking today to a ceremony in Faisalabad which was held to distribute minority cards among the religious minorities of Punjab.

On October 12, the head of the general of the weapon, Perviz Musharraf, dissolved the Parliament and ousted the minister of the time, Nawaz Sharif, in a bloodless coup.

Speaking on occasion, the leader of the PML-N said: “In 1999, Pakistan made progress on a fast track under the direction of Nawaz Sharif, but the incident of October 12 occurred and the country plunged into unprecedented terrorism and dedication.”

The Prime Minister’s help said that in 2013, people voted again for Nawaz and that he overcome problems and put the country back on the development track.

“The dollar rate was approximately RS106, RS65 petrol and the growth rate was 6.2%, but in 2017, a deep conspiracy was hatched and a project was launched as the PML-N government,” he added.

Sanaullah said that the new experience has led to an increase in prices and unprecedented inflation in addition to pushing the country on the verge of bankruptcy.

He said the government was also working actively to reduce inflation, which has already increased from 40% to 4%, while more measures are taken to reduce it more.

The government has put the country on the right track and it would surely emerge as a strong economy in the world after a few years if the pace of progress continued and no incident as October 12 has happened, he added.

Referring to the eviction of Prime Minister Imran Khan of the Power in April 2022, the chief of the PML-N said that the country faced multiforme crises and that people put a very miserable life when the PML-N has moved a “without confidence” and saved the country by default.

Going to the financial difficulties encountered by the country, he said: “The federal government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz and the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) led by the Chief of the Staff of the Army (COAS) Asim Munir” made total efforts to put the country’s economy on the right track.

The government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz, put the country on the road to progress and prosperity after having saved it from defect and it would emerge as a strong economy after a few years if the rhythm of national development continued, he said.

“If the truth is said,” said Sanaullah, three state pillars have lost their meaning, adding that only the fourth pillar, the media, will lead the country.

He said the minorities were an integral part of Pakistan because they still played a dynamic role in national development and that the government would ensure unity and equality across the country.

However, he urged the people, in particular the minorities, to ignore negative propaganda and to support government efforts to create an inclusive and prosperous Pakistan for all.
