Afridi was sentenced to a fine of 25% of his match fees for violation of article 2.12 of the Code of Driving, which concerns “inappropriate physical contact” with a player or someone else in a match .
It was out of the last ball of the end. Just the front ball, Breetzke, after defending the ball, made a gesture with his bat, to which Afridi reacted by walking on the ground and saying something. Breetzke did not fall back and the referees were quickly on the scene.
Apart from the last ball, Breetzke took off for a race after playing the ball on the side of the leg and Afridi moved to the striker. Breetzke fell it before finishing its race.
It was a violation of article 2.5 of the code, which relates to “the use of language, actions or gestures which denigrate or which could cause an aggressive reaction of a paste”.
None of the three had previous demerit points.
