Pakistan, Turkiye and Azerbaijan reaffirm the unit at the trilateral summit

He thanked President Aliyev for warm hospitality and declared that the summit reflected “a meeting of hearts and souls of authentic friends and sincere sympathizers”.

Shehbaz recalled the “fruitful discussions” organized at the Shanghai cooperation organization last year in Kazakhstan and said that the trilateral partnership was about to rise to “new summits” in accordance with the aspirations of the people. “It would not be a surprise for anyone, because Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Turkiy are linked by deep historical, cultural and spiritual ties forged through centuries of shared values ​​and mutual support.”

The Prime Minister reaffirmed solidarity with Bakou and Ankara, referring to the inexpressible positions of Pakistan on Karabakh and Turkish Cyprus. He noted: “Our strength lies in our solidarity and our mutual respect”.

Shehbaz thanked the two nations for their public support visible during the recent military affair of Pakistan with India, following the pahalgam incident. “We could only be fascinated by the intensity of the fervor and the enthusiasm of our common citizens,” he said.

He said India had not provided credible evidence connecting Pakistan to the incident and rejected Islamabad’s offer from a neutral and transparent international investigation.

Speaking to the summit first, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his concern in the face of recent Pakistani tensions and reiterated the solidarity of Azerbaijan with Pakistan. “We looked at him very closely in the hope that peace would prevail.
