Expressing deep concern over the Afghan Taliban regime’s unwarranted aggression along the Pak-Afghan border, the Foreign Ministry warned that any further provocation would invite an “unwavering and appropriate response”.
Pakistan is deeply concerned over the unwarranted aggression of the Afghan Taliban, Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan along the Pak-Afghan border on the night of October 11-12, 2025, said the press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
He added that such unprovoked actions aimed at destabilizing the Pak-Afghan border belie the general spirit of peaceful neighborhood and cooperative relations between the two brotherly countries.
Pakistan, exercising its right of self-defense, not only effectively repelled attacks all along the border but also inflicted heavy losses on Taliban and affiliated forces. Khwarjisin terms of men, equipment and infrastructure, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This infrastructure was used to plan and facilitate terrorist attacks against Pakistan. As part of our targeted and precise response, all possible measures have been taken to prevent any collateral damage and protect civilians, the ministry added.
Pakistan highly values dialogue and diplomacy and mutually beneficial relations with Afghanistan. At the same time, the Pakistani Government continues to closely monitor the situation and will take all possible measures to safeguard its territory and the lives of its people. Any further provocation would provoke an unwavering and dignified response, FO said.
Pakistan strongly rejects the claims and insinuations made by the Acting Afghan Foreign Minister in India aimed at diverting attention from the presence of terrorist elements in Afghanistan. By making these baseless assertions, the Taliban regime cannot absolve itself of its responsibilities in matters of regional peace and stability, he adds.

The continued presence of terrorist elements on Afghan soil and the freedom of activity they enjoy in Afghanistan are well documented in the reports of the United Nations monitoring team. The fight against terrorism is a common cause. Instead of shifting responsibilities, the Taliban regime should honor its commitment not to allow its territory to be used for terrorist purposes against other countries, and play its due role in achieving peace and stability in the region and beyond, the statement said.
Pakistan has repeatedly raised concerns over the presence of Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan operating from Afghan soil. Pakistan expects the Taliban regime to take concrete and verifiable measures against these terrorist elements.
Pakistan, in the spirit of good neighborliness, Islamic brotherhood and humanity, has generously welcomed around four million Afghans for more than four decades. Pakistan will take all necessary measures to regulate the presence of Afghan nationals on its territory, in accordance with international standards and laws.
Pakistan desires a peaceful, stable, friendly, inclusive, regionally connected and prosperous Afghanistan. Pakistan expects the Taliban regime to act responsibly, honor its commitments and play a constructive role in achieving the common goal of eradicating terrorism from its soil. We also hope that one day the Afghan people will be emancipated and governed by a truly representative government, the statement concluded.
