Pakistan, who gathers for a blood donation that lives life

Islamabad:

The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pakistani Health Ministry launched a joint public appeal on Friday to “urgently and voluntarily” give a blood donation to face a deficit that considerably limited the capacity of hospitals to save life.

The call came on the eve of World Blood Donor Day, which is observed on Saturday (today) to recognize voluntary and unpaid blood donors and raise awareness of the importance of blood and safe blood products. The theme of the year is “give blood, give hope – together, we save lives”.

At the relationship, nearly 150 volunteers participated in a blood donation campaign organized by Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in collaboration with WHO. One of the first volunteers to give blood was the representative of Pakistan Dr Dapeng Luo.

Volunteer blood donations can save lives and give hope to those who need it. With a single gift, each of us can save up to three lives, “said Dr. Luo, speaking on this occasion.” Each patient who needs blood should be able to receive it, “added Luo.

He said that who would continue to work with Pakistan to strengthen a blood service.
