Pakistan said it would set up a national cryptography council to develop legislation for the sector, following a meeting with the digital asset advisers by President Donald Trump, according to a report from the local Dawn information site.
The Council would be a dedicated advisory body that consists of government representatives, regulatory authorities and industry experts. He would supervise the development of policies and collaborate with countries to develop standardized executives, added the report, citing a declaration from the Ministry of Finance.
Until last year, the country’s finance ministry opposed the crypto regulation in the country, but the Minister of Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb said that he would examine the issue with an open mind, he said in a statement. He also stressed the importance of a well -regulated digital asset framework, added the report.
Aurangzeb also attended a meeting with a foreign delegation which would have included Tuesday the digital asset advisers of President Donald Trump.
Nations are looking into the United States that has moved to create friendly policies since the election of Trump.
