Pakistani runners watch finishes less than four hours to 2025 Boston Marathon

Thirteen Pakistani runners carried out on Monday the 129th Boston marathon, Amin Mukaty and Sara Lodhi emerging as the fastest male and female finishers in the country with the prestigious world marathon.

Amin Mukaty, 23, timed 2:48:47 on the legendary course, becoming the fastest Pakistani male finisher.

The runner based in Karachi, who qualified in time, posted on Instagram: “Heartbreak Hill could not break my heart. The Boston marathon tested my limits but I took up the challenge.”

Abdul Rehman was close to Karachi, who finished in 2:51:13.

“It was difficult with a lot of hills, but I appreciated,” said Rehman after the marathon. “I think it was my best race, better than Berlin.”

The other best male finishers included Nizar Nayani (3:01:46), Omer Malik (3:05:40) and Sadiq Shah (3:12:17), the latter ending his second Boston marathon.

In the field of women, Sara Lodhi directed the Pakistan contingent with a time of 3:24:46.

The mother of three 39 -year -old water ranked her ninth career marathon and fifth major. “It is important for me to model that women can do anything,” said Lodhi. “The qualifications and perform well here have been a humiliating trip.”

Six Pakistani runners also won the prestigious six -star finishing medal, awarded to those who complete the six majors of the World Marathon of Abbott. These include Danish Elahi, Adnan Gandhi, Hira Diwan, Yusra Bokhari, Jamal Khan and Nayani.

Elahi, who finished his sixth major in Boston, said: “It is not only personal – it is for my family and for the community of Pakistan.”

Dr. Salman Khan (3:24:45), based in the United States, Quintuple Boston finisher and already a six-star runner, said that the Pakistani presence in Boston had grew visibly. “It is a dream come true. More and more Pakistanis represent their country internationally. ”

The other finishers included Hira Diwan, Adnan Gandhi, Qamar Zia, Yusra Bokhari and Dr Ravia Bokhari.

The Boston marathon, which was held for the first time in 1897, attracted nearly 30,000 runners in 2025. The growing presence of Pakistan reflected its expanding footprint in the global distance race.
