Buckingham Palace shared an update as King Charles received Nigerian President Bola Tinubu at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.
Princess Catherine accompanied her husband, Prince William, to welcome the President of Nigeria and the First Lady for their state visit to the United Kingdom.
During the royal engagement, Kate and her father-in-law King Charles appeared to exchange heartfelt gestures, attracting huge amounts of attention as the clip went viral.
The multi-talented future queen captured the heart of the monarch with her perfect royal bow, which she exhibited after welcoming the Nigerian guests to the United Kingdom.
The royal family shared videos and photos of the wonderful welcome on their official Instagram page, also honoring Princess Kate and her husband for their support of the monarch.
The palace wrote: “The sun shines in Windsor as we warmly welcome President Tinubu and the First Lady, Mrs Tinubu, on their state visit to the United Kingdom.”
This is the first state visit by a Nigerian leader in 37 years, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
The state visit did not include a lunch because Tinubu is a practicing Muslim who fasts during Ramadan, but a state banquet was held later Wednesday evening.
