Pamela Anderson reacts to seeing Seth Rogen at the Golden Globes

Pamela Anderson on meeting Seth Rogen at the 83rd Golden Globes

Pamela Anderson looks back on an uncomfortable moment she experienced at the Golden Globes.

The actress revealed that seeing Seth Rogen at the event reignited lingering feelings related to the controversy. Pam and Tommy series produced without his consent.

Speaking on SiriusXM Radio AndyThe Golden Globes nominee explained that although she appeared to have left the awards show early, her exit was intentional and emotionally driven.

“At the Golden Globes, for example, I didn’t leave early. I left after I received my award and went straight to bed,” she said, adding that being around Rogen made her uncomfortable.

The tension comes from Hulu’s 2022 limited series Pam and Tommywhich dramatized the theft and distribution of Anderson’s 1995 private tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

Rogen served as executive producer on the project and also played Rand Gauthier, the man who stole and sold the tape.

Anderson pointed out that she was never consulted about the series, a fact that continues to bother her years later.

“Seth Rogen, he did this [miniseries] about me without talking to me, Pam and Tommy,” she said. “How can someone make a TV series about difficult times in your life? And I’m a living, breathing human being here, hello.

Anderson noted that Rogen was sitting nearby during the ceremony.

“He was in the pit at the Golden Globes, so we were close,” she explained. “I just said to myself, ‘I’m not chopped liver here.’ I felt a little weird about it.

Although Anderson said she has remained busy professionally, working on five films over the past year, she admitted that moments like this can still come unexpectedly.

She shared that she hopes Rogen can one day recognize her feelings. “Eventually, I hope he contacts me and apologizes. It’s no big deal.”

Thinking more broadly, Anderson expressed frustration with how personal experiences are often turned into entertainment.

She said that “life’s darkest, deepest secrets or tragedies shouldn’t be fair game for a TV series”, adding that the situation “pissed me off a bit”.

Rogen, meanwhile, had a successful night at the Golden Globes, where his Apple TV+ series The Workshop won best television series – musical or comedy, as well as best actor in the same category.

Despite the accolades, Anderson’s comments highlight that for her, the emotional impact of Pam and Tommy is far from over.
