Pamela Anderson admitted that after giving up makeup, she gained more “freedom” and became more “confident.”
The 58-year-old actress opened up about her journey to natural beauty during a recent chat with People.
“So much more freedom and so much more confidence,” Anderson told the outlet of the New York pop-up of her skincare brand, Sonsie.
However, the actress shared that breaking free is a “choice” and for her, it comes with challenges.
“You have to work at it. It’s a habit to be sure to leave the house with or without makeup,” the Naked Gun actress added.
Anderson then explained why she chose to forgo makeup: “I could just see something cultural and I was like, ‘I want to jump off the crazy train. I want to be one of the first to jump off the crazy train and peel it off and see what happens’.”
“I saved a lot of time,” she joked.
The Camino Real star was then asked about one piece of advice she wanted to give her young daughter. She replied, “That’s the thing. You look back, after you’ve had a certain experience in life, you can look back and see yourself. But I mean, I don’t know if I would give him advice.”
“You have to find out for yourself, and I should have found out for myself.”
“If someone had told me to do something when I was younger, I wouldn’t have done it. So you just have to find your own inspirations and your own reasons,” she added.
