The Government adopted four bills, including the bill for modifying commercial organizations 2021, during the joint session of the Parliament on Friday, despite the disruptions caused by the opposition legislators of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf ( PTI).

The session, chaired by President Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, began an hour later than expected, Express News reported. PTI legislators have created a heckling in the house, holding signs and opposing the procedure.

Eminent figures, notably the president of the Senate, Yusuf Raza Gilani, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Sherry Rehman, were present.

However, Bilawal Bhutto arrived after the end of the session.

The members of the opposition asked for the right to speak on the points of the order, but the speaker denied the microphone to the opposition chief, which prompted the demonstrations. Opposition members chanted slogans rejecting the PECA law during the session.

While the demonstrations and the sloganing intensified, the procedure was seriously disturbed, which prompted the speaker to wear headphones to continue the session.

The Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal, presented the bill on modifications to the modification of commercial organizations and the bill on the changes in imports and exports of regulation 2023, which were both approved.

Senator Manzoor Kakar presented the Bill 2024 of the Institute of National Excellence, which was adopted, as well as the bill of the National Institute of Technology 2023.
