Pat McAfee was one of the links with the world of sport that has spoken out following the assassination of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The old bettor of the Indianapolis colts and the current media personality said that the name of Kirk was “synonymous with having the courage to say what you think and to ask / welcome conversations with those with whom you do not agree”.
While McAfee warned that he was not intrinsically political, he added that events that had taken place on the campus of the University of Utah Valley left him surprised and afflicted.

“I am not a politician, but I am a proud American citizen and today was surprising, sad and crazy at the same time …”, wrote McAfee on X. “I realized that I am a little naive how crazy that everything has gone that everything has become disgusted and devastated.”
“This cannot be what we really are or become as a country. I believe that good people will always be more numerous than evil people, but damn … Today was an alarming day in the history of our country.”

During the Thursday edition of “The Pat McAfee Show” of ESPN, the 38 -year -old man reaffirmed that he was not a person firmly anchored in the political sphere, but he asked what the Mortelle shooting said about the state of society as a whole.

President Donald Trump Kirk’s death announced on Wednesday.
“The big, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the hearts of young people in the United States of America better than Charlie. Since the fatal shooting, photos of a person of interest have been published, and the FBI has announced a reward of $ 100,000 for information that leads to arrest.
Trump also confirmed that Kirk will posthumously receive the Presidential Liberty Medal.
