Indycar’s star, Pato O’Ward, sounded on Indianapolis 500 after Alex Palou passed Marcus Ericsson with 14 laps to win the race for the first time in his career.
The McLaren Arrow pilot challenged Ericsson’s lack of fight when Palou passed it for the head at the end of the race, as well as the way some of the restarts took place.

“Nice shit race, I would say. A little sucks that he went down-the Switheroo was for the last position of the race and Ericsson actually choked a little and left stunned by and just a little … He just had to pedal it there,” he told Fox Sports. “I don’t think it’s a finish, whoever wanted to see.
“I just have the impression that there was a bunch of non-experiences at the front of the restarts and that some of these restarts were pathetic. It is not at the level that we should see at Indy 500. I had the impression that we played roulette in a casino and selection outside or inside and depending on what everyone chose to choose or that you have done.”

O’Ward finished in fourth place after starting the race in third.
“We got there a few times, but we went up a little after being a little more in the middle,” he said. “I fought as hard as possible.”
There were 44 laps cut in caution, from the very beginning while the rain touched the race, then started with an accident from Scott McLaughlin before the waves of the green flag.
On the first round of the green flag, Marco Andretti crashed into the wall.

However, the race presented 22 head changes among 14 drivers. It was Palou who found himself in the circle of the winner at the end of the race.
