The temple of renown of professional football Patrick Willis was like the rest of the world of football when he saw the Dallas cowboys exchange on four times Pro Bowl Rusher Micah Parsons to Green Bay Packers.
He couldn’t believe it, but not because of the general shock factor.
“It confused me a little, to be honest with you. Not so much about trade, but it is more than the fact that he went to Green Bay,” said Willis at PK Press Club Digital while discussing his partnership with The Athletic and ITS New Connections: Sports Edition Puzzle before the 2025 NFL season.

Willis, a seven -time second time Pro Bowl who played for the 49ers of San Francisco, was confused by Jerry Jones sending Parsons to Green Bay.
Willis was worried about the past injuries of parsons and had to play in a place where temperatures are regularly below freezing during the year.

“I’m just like” guy, with the injuries you had to go somewhere like Green Bay, it’s cold, “said Willis. “It’s cold and having injuries is not the place where you want to go.”
Of course, Startons had no say to say where he was heading, but he signed an extension of $ 188 million in long -term over four years to stay in Green Bay in the foreseeable future.
Parsons is also already confronted with an injury, because ESPN reported on Monday that it might need an epidural injection to play the team’s opening match against the Detroit lions in the week 1. Parsons intends to play, but its designation of “tightening of the back” when it was stopped in the Cowboys training camp was not a FIB after all.
Parsons is dealing with a L4 / L5 facet to join Spain behind his back from now on, and he also had an upward sprained last season which made him miss four games. He also fought against injury in hand, knee and shoulders during the 2022 season.

Wounds are unfortunately a common event in the NFL, because any player will say that fighting them is a must throughout the exhausting campaign. But the parson field in the last four seasons has been in an AT&T stadium controlled by the climate – Field Lambeau is exactly the opposite.
Thus, Willis thinks that the main priority of Parsons will be to stay healthy instead of going around 4 week against cowboys.
“I have the impression that this is one of those things where, for him, it will remain healthy,” said Willis. The whole will not be: “Oh guy, I can’t wait to play this team”.
“You have to play outside. He’s going to have many other things in mind. I’m sure he’s going to be hungry for this game when it happens. But for him, I think the greatest thing will stay healthy for this new team.”
Willis said he only wanted to go as the best, and he is delighted to see what he can do with this new opportunity in the NFC North.
