Paul Hardcastle is heartbroken after his son Paul Jr died in a motorcycle accident.
The 68-year-old musician, best known for his 1985 hit 19, revealed he had spoken to his 35-year-old son just minutes before the accident.
Paul shared in an emotional Instagram video: “He said, ‘I’ll get back to you in five minutes.’ » He didn’t answer me after five minutes.
THE Soft rain Singer described the moment as “the police coming to his house to tell him the tragic news,” saying the officers were nice, but learning his son had died was very upsetting.
He also warned others against making risky decisions, saying that certain choices can change your life instantly.
Paul Jr followed in his father’s footsteps, playing saxophone and DJing.
Paul first shared the news on Instagram alongside a childhood photo of his son, writing: “Just to let you know that my super talented son, Paul Hardcastle Jnr, had a fatal motorbike accident earlier and sadly passed away. RIP son loves dad.”
Paul Hardcastle, however, called his son “lovely” and said his loss was heartbreaking.
