PCB declares the rapid upgrade of the Gaddafi stadium a record

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) praised the rapid upgrading of the Gaddafi stadium as a unique record in the cricket world.

The president of the PCB, Mohin Naqvi, visited the stadium early in the morning, where he inspected the finishing work on various floors and hospital boxes, guaranteeing the quality of the balustrades placed in front of the boxes.

Naqvi ordered the finishing work to be completed quickly while maintaining high standards. He also said that the stadium completion was imminent, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is expected to inaugurate it on February 7.

Naqvi added that spectators participating in the Champions Trophy matches will be able to take advantage of the newly improved stadium installations.

The PCB officially recognized the completion of 99% of the Gaddafi stadium in just 110 days as a world record in cricket.

After the renovation, the stadium will now host 10,000 additional spectators, bringing the total capacity of the seats to 34,000, allowing more fans to enjoy live matches.

On the other hand, the president of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohin Naqvi, announced that the new Gaddafi stadium in Lahore would be inaugurated in the first week of February, before the trophy Champions Men’s Champions 2025.

He congratulated construction workers for their efforts and invited them to watch the first match in the ODI Tri-Nation series on February 8.

Stade Gaddafi will host four games during the Champions Trophy, including the second semi-final on March 5. If India does not qualify for the final, it will be held in Lahore on March 9.

In addition, the ICC male champions trophy returned to Pakistan after finishing its world tour and will be posted in major cities, including Lahore, until February 15.

The tournament, with eight teams, will take place from February 19 to March 9 on three sites in Pakistan and Dubai.
