Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has designed a plan to create three distinct teams from Shaheens Pakistani for training matches before the Champions Trophy.

The decision aims to provide teams with guests participating in the MEGA Event with many training opportunities before the tournament start.

According to sources, these Shaheens teams will play against the teams participating in the Champions Trophy, allowing national players to compete alongside international cricket players. This will also give guest teams the possibility of training before the tournament kicks off.

According to the plan, a team of Shaheens will play training matches in Karachi, another in Lahore, and the third will be based in Dubai.

In addition, New Zealand and South Africa, both participating in the Champions Trophy, will have the chance to train against Pakistan in the next Tri-Nation series, which begins on February 8 with a match between the Pakistan and New Zealand.

Before the start of the Champions Trophy, PCB finalized the calendar of the opening ceremony of the Champions 2025 champions trophy, preparing the land for a large and spectacular launch of the tournament.

The ICC 2025 champions trophy, which is expected to start on February 19, will start with the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony at the Gaddafi stadium is scheduled for February 7, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to attend the main guest.

On February 11, the Karachi National Stadium will host its opening ceremony, President Asif Ali Zardari should be the guest of honor.

The official opening ceremony of the Champions Trophy will take place on February 16 in Lahore in Hazoori Bagh, followed by a brief ceremony on the site.
