The Federal Minister for Information and Dissemination Attaullah Tarar warned on Thursday that India’s actions could destabilize peace across South Asia.
Addressing a political dialogue on peace in the region, Tarar alleged that India was involved in regional terrorism and stressed its role in the incident of Pulwama.
He reiterated the long-standing position of Pakistan that the country was itself the victim of terrorism and lost 90,000 lives in the war against it.
“Pakistan has made sacrifices to protect the world from terrorism,” said Tarar, adding that Pakistan’s accusation in Pulwama was unjustified.
He noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had offered an investigation into the attack during his speech in Kakul, but India has shown no interest because of his aggressive position.
“Modi is politically weaker today than ever in the recent history of India,” said Tarar, saying that despite Pakistan’s calls for peace, the government assured that its intentions were not confused with weakness.

He also accused India of having tried to arm the water, wondering how a country could end up unilaterally to an international treaty.
Tarar said journalists have been shown in the regions that India has accused of Pulwama to prove the flour of allegations.
Earlier Wednesday, Pakistan “categorically rejected” Indian affirmations made during a parliamentary debate on the so-called “Sindoor Operation”, accusing New Delhi of distorting facts, glorifying the aggression and pursuing the interior political mileage through provocative stories.
In an official statement published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the spokesman said that the statements made by Indian leaders during the Lok Sabha debate reflected a “dangerous tendency” to distort the truth and justify the unilateral aggression.
“Pakistan categorically rejects baseless affirmations and provocative allegations made by Indian leaders during Lok Sabha’s debate on the so-called” Operation Sindoor “,” said the spokesperson. “These declarations reflect a dangerous tendency to distort facts, justify aggression and glorify conflicts for domestic consumption.”
