It’s official: Peacemaker Season 2 will be broadcast on Max from Thursday August 21 at 9 p.m. He / PT. John Cena will be back as a holder hero, and many nasty butts will be launched.
The official synopsis says: “The new season follows Christopher ‘Chris’ Smith, alias Peacemaker, the vigilante superheroes when he has trouble reconciling his past with his new sense of objective while continuing to kick a little evil ass in his quest for erroneous peace at all costs.”
Season 1 features John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee and Robert Patrick are all back, and this time, they are joined by a new cast that includes Frank Grillo, David Denman, Sol Rodriguez and Tim Meadows.

1. He solved the problem of the DC universe
One of the problems that season 2 faces is that it is in a different universe from season 1: James Gunn Set Peacemaker Season 1 in the extended DC universe, which has now disappeared, so season 2 takes place in the DCU. 2. Justice League is much more funny
In the trailer, we see a peacemaker auditioning very uncomfortably for the Justice League of Maxwell Lord, while Guy Gardner and Hawkgirl watch. Presumably, this was filmed during the production of SupermanThis means that we should not expect them to play a huge role in season 2.
But it is interesting because this Justice League is much more fun than that of the DCEU, in particular in its representation of Hawkgirl.
3. Rick Flagg is the villain
It seems that Flagg Sr. will be a key figure in season 2 after his main role in the Creature commandos Animated series, and he has very good reasons to go after the peacemaker: in The suicide team (Spoiler alert!), Peacemaker killed his son. This makes him more nuanced than the villain of the usual superhero show: it is not a monster; He is a mourning parent.
