Peshawar:
In response to the current heat wave, the administration of the Peshawar district has established thermal response units in various key places in the city to provide immediate medical assistance to the public.
Under the supervision of the district administration, a total of 11 units were installed in areas with high traffic, including animated markets, bus terminals and other public places.
These units are equipped to offer drinking water, salt sachets (gold) oral rehydration, basic first aid and shaded rest areas with citizens with heat strokes or related conditions.
Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, knocked out Salim Akram, as well as the additional deputy commissioner Syed Basharat Hussain, visited several thermal response units, interaci with citizens and distributed water bottles and gold sachets among them.
Speaking on occasion, DC Peshawar said: “Protecting the public from extreme heat and guaranteeing its security is our absolute priority.
The district administration is fully determined to relieve all citizens. We urge the public to take precautionary measures and avoid getting out of the sun unnecessarily. “”
He added that this timely initiative is not only a practical demonstration of the administration’s commitment to the public service, but also a potentially vital intervention under current weather conditions.
