- A new enemy, Radhog, arrives at Fallout 76
- Players will also be able to get a friendly for their camps
- This was partially inspired by the own pet of the Director of Creation
The next Fallout 76: Burning Springs The update will add a new Radhog Camp pet with surprising inspirations from the real world.
These large mutant pigs will be present in the new Ohio region of the game, but players will also be able to get their hands on one to place in their colonies as a pet.
In an interview at an forecasting event last month, creative director Jon Rush revealed that the decision to add a friendly radhog was partly inspired by his real childhood animal.
“When I grew up, I had a company pig named Hamilton,” he said. “So, with us putting a radhog in the game, and it is an appropriate size for a pet, I simply could not let the opportunity to do it in one.”
“It’s a tribute to Hamilton,” he continued. “When Fallout 76 was first designed, there were concepts for the radhogs made by an artist, and we had never done them. “”
“By going through the older concepts and seeing this, it was like a very good choice to have them, these vicious pigs that run in the new region. And of course, Hamilton being in my mind, I said to myself:” Well, we are going to do it “.”
“I think it also plays in players’ comments,” added direct production of Bill Lacoste. “We have given the players the dog and the cats. They love dogs and cats, but now they will have more interesting pets.”
The update of Burning Springs is expected to be released in December alongside the first in the second season of Fallout TV Show.
Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, or PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S via compatibility behind.
