Fears over possible privatization of the PIA have increased uncertainty among employees, and incidents of missing staff abroad continue.
Senior Purser Asif Najam, who arrived in Canada on November 16 aboard a PIA flight from Lahore, reportedly disappeared from his hotel.
He was due to return to Lahore on November 19. The flight left without him. Several PIA employees have already gone missing abroad in similar circumstances.
The PIA spokesperson said departmental action would be taken against the staff member.
